I have a confession to make. When I signed up for my personal Twitter account a couple of years ago I was skeptical and made the big mistake many people make: I didn’t use it.

Sure, I followed some friends here and there, posted something once every couple of months and that was it.

But things changed about a year ago when I started a brand new account for my music business blog and podcast the Jazz Spotlight (it’s @JazzSpotlight).

In about a year I managed to get over 3,000 followers, including some of the top music industry experts, world’s renowned jazz artists, music venues and festivals.

Since launching the 360 Entrepreneur I decided to put focus on my personal account and really start building and growing an audience around it.

What an idiot I had been for not taking full advantage of my Twitter profile…

Today, if I were to recommend only one social media platform to be on, I’d say Twitter. Hands down!
