After graduating and trying different jobs, Amanda Zimmerman decided to pack her suitcase and live in four different cities in four months – looking for purpose and meaningful work.

That’s how 4 Months X 4 Cities was born.

In this episode, Amanda joins us to share her experience and talk about the books and projects that inspired her to embark on her quest, what she learned by living in New York City, Chicago, Austin and San Francisco over a 4-month span and the downsides of living the lifestyle laptop.

Amanda Zimmerman is a not-so-typical 20-something who blogs over at Dresses With Pockets.net. A few months ago, the daughter of “The Instagram Expert” Sue B. Zimmerman embarked in 4 Months X 4 Cities, journey that took her to in four of America’s greatest cities: New York City, Chicago, Austin and San Francisco.

While many millennials dive into the 9-to-5 work life right after graduation, Amanda tried a few jobs. However, inspired by several books, projects and talks, she then decided to go on a quest to find purpose and meaningful work.
